Who is the KCTA?

The Kittiwake Coast Tourism Association is a volunteer organization consisting of Tourism Operators and representatives of Community groups. Because our organization is membership based, only members of the KCTA are listed on this site.

The area under the direction of the Kittiwake Coast Tourism Association includes Lewisporte in the West, Charlottetown and Terra Nova National Park in the East and Twillingate to the North. The area is subdivided into smaller zones and includes, Road to the Beaches, Road to the Shore, Road to the Isles, Islands Experience and Gander. There are three islands accessible only by ferry (Fogo Island, Change Islands, St. Brendan's). Each area is represented on the Association's Board of Directors.

The mandate of the Association is Marketing. This involves encouraging visits to our region from outside. There are two main target areas: in-province, particularly the Avalon Peninsula and off-island including Ontario and the Eastern Seaboard of the United States. The Association meets on a regular basis to discuss tourism issues.
