A walk-way with steps, leads right up to the site.  From there you can see part of the fault line that runs from Dover to Baie Verte.  A spectacular view of the town can be seen as well.

The Greenspond Courthouse (winner of the 1998 Southcott Award) has been restored to its 1899 state.  Friendly tour guides await to show you around the main floor, courtroom, jails and upstairs quarters.

Named for the province’s Father of Confederation, former Premier Joey Smallwood who was born at Gambo, the lookout provides a picturesque view of the town and the surrounding area.

Located on the Village Green is the bronze sculpture of Joseph R. Smallwood. Created by Luben Boykov, the sculpture is set amid boulders and creates the impression that “Joey” is rising up out of the ground to stand tall amid the people.
